I went through all the literature I could find but cannot find a solution.įollowing erg suggestion, I tried to use the last MS SQL Server Native Client version ( on my system), but it still does not resolve the issue. We get two consecutive error message in the Microsoft SQL Server Login:

ODBC DRIVER SQL NATIVE CLIENT 10 UPDATE
This required us to update SQL Express 2014 SP1 to the latest cumulative update (CU #3)

We enabled the 'Force Encryption' option and configured the certificate through the 'Sql Server Configuration Manager'.The database instance is a named instance, configured to run with a TCP/IP connection and a fixed port.We run Microsoft SQL Server express 2014 SP1 with the latest cumulative update (CU #3) (which was necessary so that we could deactivate SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 and run only with TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2).I am trying to create / modify a system data source for my application which needs to connect to our Microsoft SQL Express 2014 database through an ODBC data source. The connection used to work before we enabled the SSL encryption flow but,now that we have an encrypted link, the connection does not work anymore. What is causing this with the 11.0 connection and how can we fix it?
ODBC DRIVER SQL NATIVE CLIENT 10 WINDOWS 7
After a hard disk failure, I reinstalled SQL Server 2014 Developer on a Windows 7 (64-bit) computer and suddenly my Access 2010 forms were getting the dreaded #Deleted in every field when moving to a new record or clicking Save on the ribbon.

I've been connecting Access front ends to SQL Server 2000, 2008 R2 then 2014 for years without issue. The Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server also comes with powerful tools. The Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server allows native C and C++ applications to leverage the standard ODBC API and connect to Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012.

The syntax of specifying the server instance in the value of the server key is the same for all connection strings for SQL Server. The data is not displayed in the ASP files and some other errors are displayed in the application. Sql Server Native Client 11.0 Odbc Driver Download If we connect to the server using SQL Server Native Client 11.0 then we can disable TLS 1.1 and use TLS 1.2 only, BUT then certain fields from our database such as text fields, nvarchar(max), and apparently any long strings won't work anymore. If we connect to the server with our connection string using 'SQL Server' then the system works fine, but we cannot disable TLS 1.1 because apparently this driver uses that version.
